Reunion 2024

UNITE TO UNLEASH THE POWER OF THE PACK

Every two years, Camp Bow Wow hosts a “Reunion” event that gets the entire system together including Franchise Owners, Corporate Office Team Members, and vendors, for three days of networking, celebrating, learning, and raising money for the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. The design needs for this event are created entirely by CBW’s small Creative Team that includes three members.

I have worn many hats at Reunion and created hundreds of assets for these events, including serving on the Reunion Committee to provide insights to the event to a team vastly made of new Team Members. As a team, assets created range from simple flyers to to swag, signage, and any other random needs that arise during planning. For the 2024 Reunion Event, I created over 75 unique assets including over 20 pieces of signage, one presentation template used across a dozen breakout session topics, the main event stage, and the event logo.

While Reunion takes over a year to put together, requests from Franchise Owners and Corporate do not take a back seat. These regular requests are tended to, maintaining our ten-day turnaround timeline.

Signage, Merch, Logos, Oh My!

These pull-up banners were designed as brand awareness pieces placed throughout the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Denver so visitors could see and become familiar with the brand, hence the larger logo on the top. I used a range of photographs to showcase Camp Bow Wow’s wide range of services, showing that they are more than just day care.

SWAG:

STUFF WE ALL GET

The theme for 2024’s Reunion was “Unite to Unleash the Power of the Pack” which lended itself to a fun superhero theme. When working on the stage design, I really wanted to focus on the superhero elements to get the message of the theme across. I was inspired by comic books and their use of halftone patterns, action words, and thick fonts and coupled that with superhero doodles in CBW’s style. I collected pictures from local Camps social media highlighting each of the company’s core services.

Each Reunion, a wide variety of swag is designed to raise money for the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, Camp Bow Wow’s 503(c) non-profit that helps sick and injured pups in need. In 2024, over $34,000 of swag and event tickets were sold which will easily help over two dozen dogs in need of urgent medical care. This years Reunion featured many items including Crocs Jibbitz, lick mats, headbands, and stickers.

Swag design is strictly kept to Camp Bow Wow general branding to increase longevity. This is also because Camp Bow Wow’s general branding is what their customers and the public know. The only people that are aware of Reunion and see its specific themed branding is our Franchise Owners and attendees, not customers. Camp Bow Wow swag is a form of marketing,
so when the people who buy our swag wear it out in public, post it on social media, etc. we want our customers to recognize it and know it’s from Camp Bow Wow.
